Women Volunteers (27 positions)

OLA(Ordinary Luo Affair) a non-profit social enterprise creating opportunities, mentorship, market linkages, support for the disadvantaged Luo women and girls and great products/services that are ‘Luo Made’ with
Love in Luo land’.We create a common hub for the Luo woman to experience the reality in being a Luo and take the steps to create oportunities together.

Our mission is to support them in taking their first steps towards self sustaining business so they can ultimately empower themselves and overcome the barriers they face in seeking meaningful life with emphasis to Luo
women and Girls

We create market linkages for great products, services and commodities from the ordinary Luo. We firmly believe that ‘Work and creativity Empowers Women’.

OLA operates in the four counties of Luoland Migori,Homabay,Siaya and Kisumu.

The social Enterprise now seeks to hire women volunteers in all the 27 Sub counties of the Luo to cordinate her activities…..Its a Luo affair though. You will be on a monthly stipned and not salary Among other duties, the OLAV (Ordinary Luo Affair Volunteer) will

  • Be the Sub-County (Constituency)OLA brand ambassador face and contact person
  • Recruitment of deserving women at the sub-county level to the different
  • programs of OLA
  • Coordinating and in-charge of OLA activities at Sub county level
  • Link between the recruits and the management team.
  • Writing reports and progress of OLA projects at Sub-County level
  • Represent OLA in community meetings i.e public participation forums
  • Keeping records of best performing girls at Sub county levels
  • Trainer of trainers

Minimum Qualifications

Certificate or training in social or community work Must be a resident of the subcounty selected Has good influence on women and girls. Those who speak local language have added advantage

Admin Assistant(Migori&Kisumu)

We are seeking to hire admin assistants for our ofices in Migori and Kisumu Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management and filed teams
  • Work on allowances for field oficers an related
  • Answer calls from partners,customers regarding their inquiries.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments for managers,partners and file staff.
  • Providing customer service to on call or walk in clients.
  • Re-order, maintain and keep records of office supplies.
  • Performing multifaceted general office support.
  • Assist in Planning and organizing work related events.
  • Act as liaison point for field teams
  • Desired qualifications

Diploma in Business Administration or social work, community development or any other business related course with experience in sales. 2+ years of hands on administrative support experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Should be well-organized, Courteous, Reliable, Strong work ethic and with excellent communication skills. The candidate should be able to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
